This Privacy Policy serves to provide an overview of our data collection practices, including what information we collect, why we collect it, and how we handle it.
To facilitate a clear understanding of our practices, the following definitions will be used throughout this document.
Diffinitions

RiverSync Software Product: Any software product created by RiverSync and licensed under RiverSync's Terms of Use,
excluding software that can be used by RiverSync's software products but is not created by RiverSync.
This may include code that extends the functionality of a RiverSync software product, such as a "plugin."
Any such code is governed by its own terms and conditions and privacy policy.
- RiverSync Downloadable Software Product: Any RiverSync Software Product that can be downloaded and installed on a machine.

RiverSync Software as a Service: Any RiverSync Software Product that is offered as a hosted solution,
where the software is installed and maintained by RiverSync and provided to you as a service.
- RiverSync Website: Any website that is owned by RiverSync, including everything hosted under the top-level domains riversync.com.

RiverSync Account: An account that is created and stored on RiverSync servers, containing your first name,
last name, and email address, and accessed via a username and password.
Why we collect
We collect data for various reasons, such as:

In order to provide you with our software, services, and information, we may collect data that identifies you as an individual or company.
This data is necessary to fulfill your request for software, support, and services. When you explicitly provide us with your data,
whether it be through purchasing downloadable software, buying software as a service, using our support forums, registering for a RiverSync account,
attending a webinar, participating in a survey, or subscribing to our marketing and technical content, we use it to provide you with the requested products or services.

Certain downloadable software products regularly check for software updates and/or license validation.
Anonymous data is collected on product usage and behavior to improve our offerings based on usage patterns and collective audience behavior.
We may share this information in an aggregated and always anonymous form with the public or third parties.
Anonymous data collection is opt-in for downloadable products.

To promote and market our products, we may use feedback that you voluntarily provide on our products or services, as long as it is in accordance with our
RiverSync Terms of Use.

In order to provide technical support, we may need to ask for information to process your support request, which may include accessing your data.
We may need to access and/or request a failure code, which may contain personal data of the user who reported the failure.
By using our software and services, you expressly consent to the collection and storage of this data.
The information will only be stored during the process of fixing the problem and will be deleted immediately afterwards.
What we collect
RiverSync collects various types of information depending on the interaction that takes place between the user and RiverSync.
The collected information is classified into the following categories:
Purchasing RiverSync software products:
When you purchase downloadable software or sign up for software as a service, RiverSync collects the necessary information to process your payment and
create your customer account. This includes your name, email address, physical address, telephone number, and company name (where applicable).
RiverSync does not store your complete credit card information. The last four digits of your credit card number and its expiry date are retained for your
convenience in future purchases. All electronic transactions are processed by a third party whose agreements can be found on RiverSync.com under
the section Third-Party Services./
Using RiverSync downloadable software:
When you download and install purchased software, you need to provide the software with identifiable information such as your RiverSync Account or
Licensing information, which may include your name, email, and license key. On installation and execution,
the software may send information which includes version, edition, operating system information, and the environment it is installed in.
A unique, randomly-generated ID is also used to distinguish instances, and it does not contain any license or personally identifiable information.
The software can check for available updates and license validation, using the license key or your RiverSync Account details.
Some software products can also use license information to inform you of the availability of applicable updates.
When you opt-in to anonymous data collection, the software will electronically send information to RiverSync related to your usage patterns of the applications'
features. This information will not contain source code or personally identifiable information.
Using RiverSync software as a service:

When you use RiverSync Software as a Service, RiverSync collects all the necessary information to activate the service for your customer account.
This includes your name, email address, and possibly your physical address, telephone number, and company name (where applicable).
RiverSync does not store your complete credit card information. The last four digits of your credit card number and its expiry date are retained
for your convenience in future purchases. All electronic transactions are processed by a third party whose agreements can be found on RiverSync.com under
the section Third-Party Services.
Usage:
When you use any RiverSync software as a service, RiverSync stores all the content you provide, including but not limited to accounts created for term members,
files, pictures, project information, and any other information that you provide to the services you use.
RiverSync also collects anonymous data about the software for any software provided as a service,
such as the number of users and groups, type of projects, number of projects, frequency and usage of attachments, searches performed,
actions invoked in the product, and other types of interactions with product features. Cookies are used for session identification
when accessing RiverSync Software as a Service, and they comply with the Kingdom of Thailand Computer Act 2006.
Weblogs may include information about IP addresses used to access the service, browser, operating environment, and URLs used to access the service.
This information may be analyzed for security and auditing purposes.
Signing up to webinars, newsletters and/or marketing material:
When you sign up to webinars, newsletters, and/or other marketing materials, RiverSync collects personal information such as your name,
email address, and company name, and possibly other information relevant to the offerings, such as technology interests.
Using RiverSync websites:
We use cookies on our websites to collect information about visits, including session identification when accessing RiverSync Software as a Service,
e-commerce transactions, and usage statistics. This information is combined with analytical tools to provide insights into usage patterns
and for targeted advertising, subject to the terms of agreements with third-party providers.
All RiverSync cookies comply with the Kingdom of Thailand Computer Act 2006.

Please be aware that RiverSync's websites and software may contain links to external non-RiverSync sites,
and we cannot be held responsible for their privacy practices or content.
Providing Feedback
Our products and services often provide you with the opportunity to provide optional feedback, such as suggestions, compliments, or reports of problems encountered.
How we handle it
It is important to note that while we take reasonable steps to protect your data, no method of transmission over the Internet or electronic storage is 100% secure.
Therefore, we cannot guarantee the absolute security of your data. We recommend that you take appropriate measures to protect your own data,
such as using strong and unique passwords, and enabling two-factor authentication when possible.
In the event of a data breach or other security incident, we will notify you as soon as reasonably possible and take all necessary steps to minimize
the impact of such an incident. We will also comply with all applicable laws and regulations regarding data breach notification.

Data retention and withdrawal of approval
If at any time your choose to cease using our software and/or services, you may ask for your data to be removed from our servers
by writing to privacy@riversync.com. We may retain your information if it is required
to comply with legal obligations and/or defense in case of violation of our terms of service and/or privacy policies.
We may also have copies of your information in backup made for security purposes, but these backups will not be accessible as separately-delineated information.
Please note, however, that you must retain a copy of all data that you have placed on our servers in the case of any loss; further,
if you cease using our software and/or services, we will not be responsible therefor.
Our data protection is in compliance with Kingdom of Thailand Computer Act 2006.
The approval of the collection and storage of information during the process of technical support can be
withdrawn at any time by writing to privacy@riversync.com.
Disclosing information to authorities
Our policy is to not disclose customer data to any third parties or authorities unless required to do so by law or in cases where there
has been a breach of our terms and conditions or violation of our privacy policy that could potentially harm the interests of RiverSync or its customers.
We take the privacy and security of our customers' data very seriously and follow all applicable laws and regulations,
including the Kingdom of Thailand Computer Act 2006.
